ProAves supported by The Wetland Trust is pleased to invite to the 5th BANDING COURSE WITH EMPHASIS ON MIGRATORY AND ENDANGERED BIRDS with the aim of start the training process of scientific banding, providing a solid basis for future banders that ensure quality data and the safety of birds. It will be an introduction to data systematization and statistic analysis focused on answering important questions for the conservation of migratory and endemic birds. The course will be taught by five instructors from The Wetland Trust and ProAves.

Santa Marta - Magdalena - COLOMBIA.
Requirements for participants:
Students, or professionals, preferably with expertise in migratory and / or endemic bird research or who intend to work with this group of birds in the near future. Capacity is limited to 20 people. After completing the course two of the participants will be selected to attend intensive training in bird banding method, offered by The Wetland Trust in England for six weeks.

Cost:
Until Friday March 5, 2010 - Cost: $ 500.000 pesos ($250 USD)
Since March 6, 2010 - Cost: $ 800.000 pesos ($400 USD)
* The price includes: registration, accommodation: nine (9) days, eight (8) nights at the RNA El Dorado (Santa Marta - Magdalena), in a room for 4-6 people. All meals during the course. Ground transportation: Santa Marta - RNA El Dorado - Santa Marta. Does not include transportation to Santa Marta.
